At a time when audiences are shoved on their throat imbecile and underage romances, here comes Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai where the people in love are mature adults and well educated too; Karthi, a pilot and Aditi Rao Hydari, a doctor, from what the trailer indicates.
The visuals of Ravi Varman and the BGM of AR Rahman amp the feel of the footage. It is a sleep walk for Karthi to portray a fun loving lad out to woo his lady love. His dialogue to Aditi reminds a scene of the same type in OK Kanmani. Aditi is outright gorgeous and the camera angles and lighting accentuate it.
Looks like it is just not light-hearted romance and there appear to be some sort of heavy duty emotions too.
In all, the trailer of Kaatru Veliyidai has made it restless for the audience and given a feel that a month is too far off. The count-down begins!
